Navratri Day 4 – 25 September 2025 | Worship of Maa Kushmanda & Today’s Panchanga

The fourth day of Shardiya Navratri 2025 falls on 25 September (Thursday) and is dedicated to the worship of Maa Kushmanda, the fourth divine form of Goddess Durga. Maa Kushmanda, also known as the creator of the universe, symbolizes boundless energy and cosmic power. She is believed to have created the world with her divine smile and blesses devotees with good health, wealth, and positivity.

On this day, devotees perform special pujas, offer flowers, fruits, and satvik food, and recite mantras like “Om Aim Hreem Kleem Kushmandayai Namah”. The colour of the day is Yellow, representing joy, prosperity, and radiance. Devotees wear yellow clothes and prepare yellow-coloured sweets such as kesar halwa and besan ladoos as offerings.

Rituals and Fasting

Many observe fasts, either nirjala (without water) or on satvik foods like fruits and milk. Kumari Puja (worship of young girls) is also considered highly auspicious. Worshipping Maa Kushmanda is said to remove diseases, grant longevity, and bless devotees with creative energy and spiritual strength.
