Panchanga & Spiritual Guidance – 03 September 2025 (Wednesday) | Onam & Parivartini Ekadashi

Spiritual Thought of the Day
“Festivals remind us that devotion and togetherness are the true harvest of life.”

Festival Highlights

Onam Festivities Begin
Onam, Kerala’s iconic harvest festival, honors King Mahabali’s return to Earth. Families celebrate with Pookalam (floral rangoli), the traditional Onam Sadhya feast, dances, Vallamkali (boat race), and prayers, symbolizing prosperity, harmony, and joy.

Parivartini (Parsva) Ekadashi
Also known as Vamana Ekadashi, devotees observe fasts and chant Vishnu Sahasranama. Scriptures say Lord Vishnu turns to his side in Yoga Nidra on this day. Observing this Ekadashi blesses devotees with liberation from sins, auspicious beginnings, and spiritual protection.
